ACIS is in a close partnership with its sister company Laser Photonics Technology, Inc (LPT), which is also a spin-off company at the University at Buffalo and specializes in laser technology development.
Through this partnership, both companies have established a global commercial network with partners from Japan, China, India, Brazil, Belarus, etc.
Funding History
ACIS’s funding to date is from three sources: research grants and contracts (2.5 million in SBIR funding), private investment, and product sales.
Recent projects
NIH SBIR “Novel single cell assay for quantitative analysis of cell heterogeneity by noninvasive probing of molecular composition of specific organelles in individual cells” (2016, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GENERAL MEDICAL SCIENCES). The results of accomplishment: (i) BCAbox software, (ii) US patent 11,262,309 "Methods for lipid measurement in cells" (2022).
NIH SBIR “Novel optical dental imaging technology utilizing targeted upconversion nanoparticles for noninvasive detection of dental caries” (2018, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DENTAL & CRANIOFACIAL RESEARCH).

3. Promoting existing Products through its worldwide network.
4. Engaging in co-development of diagnostics and more effecting drug formulations with strategic partnership.
